- Design and optimize microfluidic chips and cartridges to produce lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) encapsulating therapeutic nucleic acids.
- Fabricate and assemble the compounding machine, integrating raw material blisters (lipidic components and nucleic acids) with advanced microfluidic systems.
- Characterize and evaluate LNPs for their morphology, stability, and therapeutic performance.

Dr. Floor Wolbers
Senior Researcher Applied Nanotechnology / Lecturer Biology and Medical Laboratory Research – Saxion University of Applied Sciences
Short bio: Dr. Floor Wolbers (1979) studied Medical Biology at the University of Utrecht, after which she did her PhD at the University of Twente. She continued research in the field of Lab-on-Chips and Organs-on-Chips at the University of Twente and the University of Eindhoven. Nowadays (from 2014), she works at University of Applied Sciences (Saxion), where she combines research with teaching bachelor students in biomedical topics. Her expertise concerns relevant subjects in the biomedical-nanotechnology field.
