The Transition from Glass to Plastic

A key aspect of the project revolves around the development of the microfluidic chips. While the current generation of chips is made from glass plates, which are relatively expensive to produce, Saxion is working with Solstice Pharmaceuticals to create a more cost-effective, disposable plastic version. This shift is expected to drive down the overall cost of the device, making it a viable option for potential market introduction.
